Pebbles of Wisdom: The Thirsty Crow's Clever Trick
Once upon a time, a crow
became very thirsty. It was summer and the weather was very hot. There
was little water in that place. The crow flew here and there looking for water.
But it could not find water anywhere. It seemed that it was about to die of
thirst. But it did not lose heart.
Suddenly, the crow saw a garden
in the distance. It flew towards it, hoping to find some water. In the garden,
it spotted a pitcher lying under a tree. The crow flew down and looked inside.
There was a little water at the bottom of the pitcher, but its beak could not
reach it.
The crow thought hard. Then it
had an idea.
It began picking up small pebbles
and dropping them one by one into the pitcher. Slowly, the water began to rise.
After dropping many pebbles, the water reached the top of the pitcher. The crow
drank the water eagerly and quenched its thirst.
It flew away happily, feeling
refreshed and proud of its cleverness.
Moral of the story: Where there is a will, there is a way.
