Lesson Procedures:
Warm-up (5 mins):
- Greet
students.
- Ask:
“Who is in your family?” (Use pictures or flashcards to elicit answers.)
- Introduce
today’s topic: “Sagar and His Family.”
Presentation (10 mins):
- Show
the textbook image and read the passage aloud.
- Students
follow along in their books.
- Read
again and pause to explain difficult words (e.g., pitha, housewife,
proud).
- Ask
comprehension questions orally (e.g., “How old is Sagar?” “Who is Keya?”)
Practice (15 mins):
Activity B – Fill in the blanks
- Write
the sentences on the board.
- Discuss
each question. Ask students to guess the correct WH-word (What, Who,
Where, etc.).
- Let
students write answers in their books.

Pair work (Activity C) – (10 mins):
- Pair
up students.

around and assist with pronunciation and accuracy.
Conclusion (5 mins):
- Review
the key vocabulary and WH-questions.
- Ask:
“Who helps in your house? What do they do?” (Encourage a few students to
answer.)
